Purpose: Terms governing access to the VETRI portal, programme registration, participation and use of programme resources.
1. About VETRI
Smt. Jayalakshmi Narasimhan Vivekananda Educational Teacher Training & Research Institute (VETRI) is a professional development and training initiative of Vivekananda Educational Trust, designed to provide structured learning and professional development programmes for teachers, academic and institutional leaders, and professionals involved in coordinating administrative operations.
By accessing the VETRI portal, registering for a programme, or making a programme payment, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
2. Eligibility
- VETRI programmes are intended exclusively for adult professional participants, including Teachers/Mentors, Academic leaders, Institutional leaders, Education professionals, Professionals coordinating administrative operations, and other professionals specifically identified as eligible for a particular programme.
- Students and minors are not eligible to register for VETRI professional programmes.
- VETRI reserves the right to verify eligibility and decline a registration where the participant does not meet the stated eligibility criteria.
3. Programme Registration
• Participants are responsible for providing accurate and complete information during registration.
• Registration is considered complete only after required registration details are submitted, the participant meets the eligibility requirements, the applicable programme fee is successfully paid where a fee is prescribed, and registration confirmation is generated by VETRI.
• A participant must not register using another person's identity or credentials.
4. Programme Fee and Payment
Programme fees will be displayed on the VETRI portal for the respective programme.
The participant is responsible for reviewing the programme details, fee, date, venue, eligibility and other applicable information before completing payment.
Once payment is successfully completed, the registration becomes subject to the VETRI Refund and Cancellation Policies.
VETRI will not issue a GST invoice for programme registration fees. A payment acknowledgement or receipt will be provided as applicable.
5. Programme Schedule and Changes
VETRI reserves the right to modify programme dates, timings, venue, resource persons, programme structure or other operational details when circumstances require such changes.
Where reasonably possible, registered participants will be informed of significant changes through the contact details provided during registration.
6. Programme Cancellation or Postponement by VETRI
VETRI reserves the right to cancel or postpone a programme due to unforeseen circumstances, operational requirements, administrative reasons, force majeure events or other circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
The applicable refund or rescheduling arrangement will be communicated to registered participants.
7. Participant Responsibilities
• Provide accurate information.
• Attend the programme punctually.
• Follow programme instructions.
• Maintain professional conduct.
• Respect resource persons, organisers and fellow participants.
• Use programme materials only for legitimate personal or professional learning purposes.
• Comply with venue and safety requirements.
8. Programme Materials and Intellectual Property
Programme materials, presentations, handouts, recordings, designs, documents and other learning resources provided by VETRI or its resource persons are intended for the registered participant's professional learning.
Unless expressly authorised by VETRI, participants must not reproduce, commercially distribute, publish, sell, modify or publicly share such materials.
9. Certificates
Where a programme provides a certificate, eligibility for certification will be subject to the attendance, participation, assessment or other requirements specified for that programme.
Registration alone does not automatically guarantee issuance of a certificate.
10. Personal Data
Personal information collected through the VETRI portal will be processed in accordance with the VETRI Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.
11. Refund and Cancellation
All registrations are subject to the VETRI Refund Policy and Cancellation Policy published on the portal. Participants are advised to review these policies before making payment.
12. Limitation of Responsibility
VETRI will take reasonable steps to conduct programmes as announced. However, VETRI will not be responsible for circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including travel disruption, natural events, technical failures, governmental restrictions or other force majeure circumstances.
13. Amendments
VETRI reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Updated terms will be published on the VETRI portal with the applicable revision date.
14. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions will be governed by the laws applicable in India.
Any dispute arising in connection with these Terms and Conditions will be subject to the applicable jurisdiction of courts in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, subject to applicable law.
